The CSQ Technical Advisory Committee (TAC) is responsible for meeting at least once annually to review the entire CSQ Certification Program, including scope, audit requirements, and guidance documents. Subsequent meetings may be required on various topics throughout the year based on industry trends and/or revisions to key CSQ Certification Program documents.
CSQ TAC members are required to be present at the annual meeting and may not miss any subsequent meetings unless notification is provided to the CSQ Certification Program Owner at least seventy-two (72) hours in advance.
CSQ TAC members are selected by the CSQ Certification Program Owner via an online application process which includes the submission of the CSQ TAC Application Form.
Members of the CSQ TAC will have their names and pictures posted on the CSQ Website. CSQ TAC members will serve on the committee for a term of one (1) year for which they can be reappointed twice for a total of a three (3) year term. CSQ TAC members may withdraw from their role at any time as long as it does not endanger the balance of the committee. If a member resigns from the committee during their term, then the position will be filled for the remainder of the term by another applicant selected by the CSQ Certification Program Owner.
Applications of potential CSQ TAC members will be assessed and approved by the CSQ Certification Program Owner against the following criteria:
- Knowledge and experience of the cannabis industries (both marijuana and hemp)
- Commitment to promote the CSQ Mission and Vision
- The level of representation of the applicable stakeholder group
- Any potential or current conflicts of interest
All members of the CSQ TAC will be required to maintain confidentiality about all information, documents, and decisions of the meetings unless expressly authorized on specific matters by the CSQ Certification Program Owner. Each member of the CSQ TAC shall confirm this by signing the CSQ TAC Confidentiality Agreement upon joining the committee.
